Join us as we celebrate Flag Day to honor the United States flag and to commemorate the flag’s adoption with a flag retirement ceremony and a performance from the 282nd Fort Jackson Army Band.

Flag Retirement Ceremony –
United States Federal Law states that no disrespect should be shown to the flag of the United States of America. The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way. Therefore, we retire flags with dignity and respect when they become worn, torn, faded, or badly soiled. We invite you to bring your tattered flags to the ceremony for proper retirement!
