10am – Lake Whelchel Trail Ribbon Cutting Ceremony – The ceremony will take place at the New Trailhead Parking Lot located on Concord Road. Park at New Harvest Church of God: 120 Boiling Springs Highway (a bus will shuttle you to the ceremony location

*** in the event of rain, the ceremony will take place at the Boat Landing Covered Shelter***

10:30am – For those at the Ribbon Cutting, Group Leaders will take groups to: Hike the Brand New 7.5 Mile Trail (estimated 4.5 hours); Bike the Brand New 7.5 Mile loop (estimated 2 hours); Hike Half the Trail (estimated 2.5 hours); Walk the 1 mile Brand New Access Trail to Lake and Back (estimated 45 minutes)

***Come prepared***

Dawn to Dusk – Enjoy the New Lake Whelchel Trail (Loop from the boat landing entrance or the new trail head parking off Concord Road) – Hike or Bike (Great for the Entire Family!) **Come prepared with lots of water***

7:30pm – Tailgate at the Lake! Pleasant School Road Entrance **No Alcohol allowed**

At Dark – Independence Day Fireworks Celebration – Sponsored by the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce

** Listen to WZZQ 104.3 FM – Patriotic music will be played during the show.
