Christmas in Gaffney

Due to the forecast of heavy and cold rain on Friday evening, the parade has been rescheduled for Sunday evening, December 6th at 6pm. The weekend celebrations will now begin with laser light shows in Henry L Jolly Park (102 Railroad Avenue) on Friday from 7pm-11pm and also on Saturday from 7pm-11pm; however, the parade will now be held on Sunday, December 6th at 6pm.

All parade plans and festivities (including Santa) originally made for Friday evening will now take place on Sunday evening. With exception to the date, everything remains the same.

Not COVID, Not The Grinch – No, NOT even the rain will steal Christmas from Gaffney.

The City of Gaffney is keeping the annual Christmas festivities alive in 2020 by offering an alternate, safe, socially-distanced plan to celebrate the holiday season while following CDC guidelines.

On Sunday, December 6, 2020 from 6pm-7:30pm, parade entries/ participants will remain stationary along Limestone Street while the spectators will have an opportunity to “drive-thru” and enjoy the parade from the safety of their respective vehicles. This revised format will comply with the recommended state guidelines and restrictions.

The “Festival of Trees” was created to give local non-profit organizations a festive way to tell their story and make the public more aware of community needs and services and to assist local non-profit organizations with fundraising efforts.  Participating organizations decorate their tree to represent their organization.  Attendees, in turn, can donate money for a vote on their favorite tree. ALL funds collected go to the organization receiving the votes.
The 14th Annual Festival of Trees will be open every week day fromNov. 30 – Dec. 23, during normal City Hall business hours, and during the night of the “Drive-Thru” Christmas Parade.
